Finest Selection OLD
Finest Selection OLD won his 2017 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf for dressage (9.29) as well as his 2019 stallion sport test held in Verden (8.48).
He was the Bundeschampion and Oldenburg State Champion of the 3-year old stallions in 2017. He competed successfully as a young horse in the 4, 5 and 6-year old classes and is now winning at FEI levels.
As a sire, he was the 2018 Oldenburg Main Premium 1b winner, which is based on achievements in sport, performance test results and quality of offspring. With just three small crops, he was ranked in the top 1% of young horse sires by the German Equestrian Federation (FN) in 2023.
Pedigree
Finest Selection is sired by the champion stallion, state champion and S-winning Follow Me OLD (Furstenball) and is from the Aricia dam line, which has produced more than 40 licensed stallions.
His dam St.Pr. Laetizia is a full sister to the licensed TC Lexus RDH and to international FEI horse, Laudon. His granddam is a full sister to the British champion stallion and performance test winner Dubloon and is a half sister to the licensed Lago Casablanca. Finest Selection’s half-sister is Elite/St.Pr. mare Floris Lätizia, dam of Helgstrand stallion, Value (Valverde) and Brilliant Ring mare Fuchtel’s Funkelpearle (Viva Gold).
Offspring
From three small crops in Germany, Finest Selection has produced foal champions, premium mares, several KWPN and Oldenberg licensing candidates, an approved stallion and successful young horse competitors. For 2023, the FN awarded him breeding value of 160 points, among the top 5 in the world.
